Sep 18 (PTI) An eight-foot-long python was safely rescued from an agricultural field in Maharashtra’s Latur district after its presence triggered excitement and concern among locals, officials said on Friday.
The reptile was spotted late Thursday night on the farm in Selu village under Ausa tehsil, and a snake rescuer was called in to capture it, they said.
Despite poor visibility and the conditions at the site, he carefully caught the snake without harming it and released it into the wild.
Several villagers gathered at the spot to catch a glimpse of the python, but precautions were taken. PTI COR ARU
