Singer and music composer Palash Muchhal visited the Khatu Shyam temple on Wednesday amid the atrocities act filed against him by Smriti Mandhana’s friend. In photos that Muchhal shared on his Instagram handle, he was seen offering tributes at the temple as he also bowed down in front of the deity.
In the caption of his post, Palash wrote, “Jahan sir jhuka, wahan sukoon mila,” and then added, “Khatu Shyam Ji – Salasar Balaji – Jeevan Mata Ji.” He also turned off the comments section of his post to avoid any negativity.

What Is The Case Filed Against Palash Muchhal?
On Wednesday, it was reported that a case has been registered against Palash Muchhal under provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The complaint was filed by Vigyan Prakash Mane, a resident of Sangli and a childhood friend of Smriti Mandhana.
The complaint states that the incident took place on November 22 at a toll plaza on the Sangli-Ashta road. Mane has alleged that during an argument, Palash Muchhal made derogatory remarks related to caste. Police have registered a case under Section 3(1) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, along with Sections 351(2) and 352. The investigation is currently underway.
Palash Muchhal’s History With Smriti Mandhana
Palash and Smriti were set to tie the knot on November 23, 2025, in the latter’s hometown of Sangli, Maharashtra. However, their wedding was first postponed indefinitely and then called off. In a post on Instagram, Mandhana confirmed that the wedding was cancelled. “Over the past few weeks there has been plenty of speculation around my life and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I am a very private person and I would like to keep it that way but I need to clarify that the wedding is called off,” Mandhana wrote.
Later, Smriti’s friend Vidnyan Mane, who claimed to be present at the wedding functions, made some serious allegations. According to Mane, Palash cheated Smriti and was caught red-handed with another woman in bed.
However, Palash dismissed all allegations, calling them baseless. The music composer issued a statement and claimed that Mane’s claims were ‘factually incorrect’. He also argued that such attempts are to tarnish his image and revealed that he is going to take legal action soon.
