Actor couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone rang in the year-end celebrations in New York with celebrity chef Vikas Khanna, combining festive traditions with a special celebration for Ranveer’s blockbuster film Dhurandhar. The MasterChef judge shared a glimpse of their meeting at his restaurant, Bungalow, where Deepika made her very first modak while Ranveer joined in to celebrate the film’s massive success.
Taking to Instagram, Vikas posted a Reel showing the restaurant adorned with fresh flowers as it welcomed the couple. The video captures light-hearted moments of Ranveer and Deepika learning how to prepare modaks under the chef’s guidance, with Deepika carefully shaping the sweet while Ranveer watches closely. The chef is also seen feeding
the freshly prepared modaks to the couple.

Sharing the Reel, Vikas Khanna penned an emotional note describing the moment as deeply special. “This has to be the most blessed end to 2025 — a new beginning in honor of India. Team Bungalow had the privilege of celebrating with Ranveer & Deepika her first modak. All our guests walking into Bungalow today will enjoy pomegranate & cardamom modaks for an auspicious beginning to 2026. Celebrating DHURANDHAR — standing taller than any film in the world.”
He further added a personal touch to the post, writing, “Standing in front of my parents wedding picture and creating modaks from the molds I just got from Siddhivinayak Temple…..I’m truly humbled.” The video also features close-up shots of the modaks and the traditional moulds mentioned by the chef, adding to the cultural significance of the moment.
Deepika and Ranveer’s New York vacation
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have been enjoying a family vacation in New York, with fans spotting the duo at multiple locations and sharing photos and videos on social media. During the trip, Deepika also attended a Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, accompanied by her friend Sneha Ramachander.
On the professional front, Ranveer’s Dhurandhar, which released on December 5, has emerged as a global juggernaut, crossing the Rs 1100 crore mark worldwide. Deepika, meanwhile, was last seen in Fighter, Kalki 2898 AD and Singham Again. She will next be seen in King and Atlee’s much-anticipated film alongside Allu Arjun.
