Prabhas’ birthday came with a major update from Fauzi. The makers unveiled the film’s teaser on Friday, offering the first proper look at Hanu Raghavapudi’s historical drama and placing the actor inside a story rooted in India’s freedom struggle.
The teaser opens in Berlin with a tense exchange involving Adolf Hitler and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, immediately establishing the film’s historical backdrop. It then shifts towards British oppression in India before introducing Prabhas as a lone rebel soldier prepared to take on the colonial establishment.
The makers have packaged the teaser around “File No. 25”, presenting Prabhas’ character almost like a declassified military subject.
Prabhas Appears In A Fierce
New Avatar
The teaser gradually builds towards Prabhas’ reveal rather than introducing him straight away.
After setting up the political climate and the threat posed by British rule, the video introduces a warrior whose presence is meant to unsettle the colonial forces. Prabhas eventually appears in an intense action sequence, sporting a rugged look that is markedly different from several of his recent roles.
The visual treatment leans heavily into war imagery, rebellion and patriotism, suggesting that Fauzi will operate on a large canvas rather than as a straightforward period drama.
Along with the teaser, the makers wrote, “Presenting the declassified File No. 25 – #Fauzi. In cinemas March 19th 2027.”
The teaser release was timed with Prabhas’ birthday, giving fans their clearest glimpse yet of the actor’s role in the film.
Fauzi Brings Prabhas And Hanu Raghavapudi Together
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Fauzi marks the filmmaker’s first collaboration with Prabhas.
The film is being mounted as a historical action drama set against the Indian freedom movement, with Prabhas playing a rebel soldier. The teaser also indicates that the narrative will move beyond India, with the opening sequence in Berlin connecting the story to the larger geopolitical climate of the period.
Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project, while T-Series Films is presenting it. Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Bhushan Kumar are credited as producers.
The teaser also positions Prabhas as the central force in a story built around resistance, war and rebellion.
One detail in the promotional material, however, remains inconsistent. While the teaser caption announces March 19, 2027, as the theatrical date, the accompanying note also mentions December 3, 2026. An updated clarification from the makers was not included in the material shared.
