Star Indian batter Abhishek Sharma hammered 15 fours and 25 sixes on Sunday (August 2) to play a sensational knock of 233 runs off 91 balls for Amritsar Mens Senior in their Punjab State Inter District Senior One Day Limited Overs Tournament 2026-27 match against Tarn Taran.
The 25-year-old left-handed batter opened the innings for Amritsar and batted at a strike rate of 256.04. He added 305 runs for the first wicket with Abhay Choudhary, who scored 93 runs off 85 balls.
Abhishek was the first batter to be dismissed on Sunday. He was sent back to the pavilion by Ashish Lowrance on the fourth ball of the 25th over.
Abhishek’s superb show with the bat helped Amritsar Mensenior post a mammoth total of 533/8 in 50 overs.
Apart from Abhishek, Sunrisers
Hyderabad wicketkeeper-batter Salil Arora was also part of Amritsar’s playing XI. He scored 29 runs off 18 balls while batting at No. 4.

Abhishek, who is a regular member of India’s T20I team, played all three T20Is for India in the away series against Zimbabwe but could only score 1, 8 and 2 runs. He faced a fair amount of criticism for his below-par performance with the bat during the away assignment.
Abhishek will next be seen in action for India at the 2026 Asian Games, which are set to take place in Japan in September 2026.
