Acclaimed composer and lyricist Mithoon is set to take a major step in his live music journey as he prepares for his first-ever public concert in Mumbai. The performance, scheduled for 7 December 2025 at Dublin Square, Phoenix Marketcity, will officially launch his India Tour 2026–2027, a multi-city showcase celebrating his evolution over nearly two decades.
A Landmark First for Mumbai
Though Mithoon has performed at global events and select private gatherings, this marks the first time he will present a full-scale public concert in the city where he was raised and musically moulded. Calling the show “deeply personal,” he said Mumbai has shaped his discipline, vision and artistic voice in profound ways.
The event will feature a large ensemble of
vocalists and instrumentalists who have been part of his creative world. Known for emotional, layered compositions, Mithoon is expected to bring his signature immersive quality to the live stage.
A Two-Hour Journey Through His Musical Legacy
Across a two-hour performance, Mithoon will revisit some of his most iconic tracks, tracing an arc from his earliest breakthroughs to his most recent hits. The setlist includes chart-toppers such as Dhun, Humdard, Tujhe Kitna, Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein, Aadat, Tum Hi Ho, Sanam Re, Banjaara, Beete Lamhein, Phir Bhi Tumko Chahunga and several others that have defined the emotional grammar of Bollywood music for over a decade.
Each song will be presented with new arrangements crafted specifically for the tour, designed to offer audiences a rare glimpse into his creative universe.
“I wanted this show to feel intimate—like we are all sitting in the same room, sharing the same breath and the same emotion,” Mithoon said. He added that performing these songs in Mumbai feels like a homecoming he has “waited many years for.”
A New Phase in His Cinematic Career
The concert comes at a pivotal moment in Mithoon’s film career. He recently delivered the musical score for the box-office hit Saiyaara and is currently working on the soundtracks for two high-profile 2026 releases — Border 2 and Awarapan 2. Both projects have already generated considerable anticipation, with expectations that his compositions will play a defining role in shaping their emotional depth.
A Prelude to a Nationwide Tour
The Mumbai concert will serve as the ceremonial beginning of Mithoon’s India Tour 2026–2027, with the full schedule expected to be announced early next year. The tour will span multiple metros and cultural hubs across the country, offering fans a rare opportunity to witness his work in an expansive live setting.
For long-time followers, the concert is a chance to reconnect with the music that has accompanied them for years. For new listeners discovering his discography through streaming platforms, it offers an intimate introduction to the storyteller behind some of the most enduring melodies of the past two decades.
Mithoon’s debut public concert in Mumbai stands not only as a tribute to his remarkable body of work but also as a prelude to the creative chapters yet to unfold.
