New Delhi, May 26 (PTI) Steel maker AMNS India on Tuesday said the company has started production of EQ70 grade-welded pipes at Hazira in Gujarat to cater to the needs of oil and gas industry.
Equivalent to the American Petroleum Institute (API), EQ70 grade is a high-strength low-alloy steel grade with a minimum yield strength of 690 megapascals (MPa) and exceptional toughness, AMNS India said in a statement.
The company said EQ70 grade-welded pipes meet the demanding requirements of offshore applications such as leg bracing in jack-up rigs and deepwater pipelines.
