Nana Patekar was spotted at the trailer launch event of his upcoming film O’Romeo. Earlier on Wednesday, the veteran actor was seen appearing on the red carpet alongside the film’s director, Vishal Bhardwaj.
However, it was later reported that he left the event early.
The videos taken by paparazzi showed Nana Patekar arriving in his signature kurta pyjama set for the event. He was seen interacting with other attendees of the event and posing for shutterbugs.
Did Nana Patekar Leave the Event Before the Trailer Launch?
According to reports, the veteran actor left the event without even launching the trailer. Social media chatter suggested that Nana Patekar waited for the film’s lead stars, Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, for nearly 1.5 hours. When the actors did not show up on time, Nana Pateker reportedly decided to leave.
However, neither Nana Patekar nor the makers confirmed the reason for his early departure from the O’Romeo trailer launch event.

Shahid Kapoor Turns Anti-Hero in O’Romeo Trailer
The three-minute trailer follows Haseen Ustara (Shahid Kapoor), a fierce, tattoo-covered contract killer and gang leader. Set against the gritty streets of Mumbai, the plot centres on Ustara’s relationship with Afsha (Triptii Dimri), who initially seeks his help, leading to a dark, obsessive, and tragic love story.
O’Romeo Cast And Plot
The trailer focuses heavily on rapid cuts to introduce its ensemble cast, hinting at power struggles, revenge, and betrayal. Alongside Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, the project stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, Aruna Irani and Farida Jalal in prominent roles, alongside Vikrant Massey and Tamannaah Bhatia in special appearances.
According to the makers, “O’Romeo is a romantic action drama based on true events, promising a gripping cinematic experience with Shahid Kapoor stepping into a role full of grit, emotional depth, intensity, and quirk.”
O’Romeo marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj, following Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. Rumours also suggest that the film draws inspiration from the story of Hussain Ustara in Hussain Zaidi’s book, ‘Mafia Queens of Mumbai.’
The highly anticipated film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and is set to hit the theatres on February 13, 2026, coinciding with Valentine’s Week.
