An Australian man living in India has shared a funny moment that left Desis laughing. Andy Evans recently shared an experience that truly surprised him during a flight in India. He was in shock when the flight landed, as he noticed how calm everyone remained and even slept through a rough touchdown.
Evans said he watched passengers continue sleeping while the plane landed with strong force. Instead of panic or tension, there was calm. People around him remained completely unbothered. He admitted that he was wide awake, gripping his seat and trying to process what was going on. Seeing this made him admire the patience of Indian travellers. He even joked that he wished he could learn this skill himself.
Australian Man Amused by Indian Passengers’
Calm During Flight Landing
Sharing the video on Instagram, Andy Evans said, “One thing I really admire about Indian people is their ability to sleep anywhere, at any time. Like I just got off the flight, right? And you know how when you land, you know, the plane comes down and you hit the ground. It’s like a magnitude nine bloody earthquakes going off and everybody’s shaking.”
“Uncle Nitin Ji, next to me is just sleeping through the whole thing. I look around everybody’s sleeping through the whole thing. What is going on? How are you guys doing this? I’m like, shocked and holding for dear life. Everybody’s sleeping, I need some of this, somebody teach me how to do this, please,” he joked.
Social Media Reacts With Jokes And Relatable Comments
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Uncle Nitin Ji’s funda is clear – Leave everything to God other than maybe hard work and you will also be able to sleep like a baby.”
Another shared, “Indian Railways prepared us for such earthquakes.”
“This is what we are,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “As soon as the plane stops, Uncle Nitin ji will pop up like popcorn, strike an Undertaker pose, grab his hand baggage, and for no apparent reason start a queue, even if it takes another hour to get off the plane.”
Another mentioned, “Sleeping on the back of a motorbike, a wildly dangerous but underrated skill.”
One more added, “When one grows up with all the noise in an Indian neighbourhood, a plane landing is a lullaby.”
Andy Praises The Unique Energy Of Mumbai
In an earlier video, Andy Evans spoke about the energy of Mumbai and says he hasn’t seen anything like this in the world. In the Instagram clip, he is seen spending time with young boys who are playing in an open outdoor space. He chats freely with the children and joins in their fun.
After the interaction, Andy shared that spending 15 minutes connecting with them, without mobile phones, left him feeling happy and refreshed.
