Elderly woman dies in lightning strike in Jharkhand's Garwah

Garwah, Sep 20 (PTI) An elderly woman was killed in a lightning strike in Jharkhand’s Garwah district on Saturday, a police officer said.

Panbasia Kunwar (65) was working in her paddy field in Khardiha

village under Bardiha police station in the afternoon when lightning struck her, the officer said.

A police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body, which was forwarded for post-mortem in Garwah, the officer added. PTI COR BS RG
