They were chit-chatting and sharing smiles, with joy on their faces as they headed to Bharat Mandapam to attend the 18th BRICS Summit hosted by India.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju dropped a rare video of Cabinet Ministers as well as the Chief Ministers of several NDA-ruled states travelling together on a bus en route to Bharat Mandapam, the venue of the ongoing BRICS Summit.
Writing on X, Rijiju said: “India is proud to host #BRICS Summit. Along with Union Ministers & Chief Ministers, joined the banquet hosted by Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi Ji for India’s most honored guests with pure Indian hospitality.”

There was a Bollywood twist, too. Playing in the background of the video was an iconic patriotic song from 1970: ‘Hai preet jahan ki reet sada’.
Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Kiren Rijiju, Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hardeep Singh Puri, Ram Mohan Naidu among others were seen aboard the bus.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, among others were also travelling to Bharat Mandapam.
In a separate video, Union Minster for Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal was seen chatting with Devendra Fadnavis and Ashwini Vaishnaw.

India Hosts BRICS 2026
The two-day 18th BRICS Summit being hosted by India in New Delhi began on Saturday, September 12, with several world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, in attendance.
BRICS leaders adopted the New Delhi Declaration on Saturday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing the consensus document.
The declaration condemned terrorism, while also denouncing “unilateral acts of war”. It also stressed the need to ensure safety of seafarers and commercial navigation amid the ongoing tensions in West Asia in the wake of the US-Israeli war on Iran.
The declaration strongly condemned the 2025 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, reaffirming commitment to “combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations”.
“We express strong condemnation of any acts of terrorism as criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, whenever, wherever and by whomsoever committed. We condemn in the strongest terms the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April 2025, during which 26 people were killed and many more injured”, the document read.
“We reaffirm our commitment to combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, including the cross-border movement of terrorists, terrorism financing and safe havens. We reiterate that terrorism should not be associated with any religion, nationality, civilization or ethnic group and that all those involved in terrorist activities and their support must be held accountable and brought to justice in accordance with relevant national and international law”.
