People collect all kinds of things, but one man from Tamil Nadu has taken his love for Coca Cola to a whole new level. Mahadevan from Karaikudi has been a fan of the drink since he was young and over the years, he started collecting anything linked to the brand. His collection includes a car, a fan, a radio, a water bottle, chairs, artwork and several rare items. Most of these pieces are vintage, having been gathered from various locations over many years.
Mahadevan didn’t want to keep this passion hidden, so he opened a small vintage museum to share his collection with the public. He says his interest began on a day when he was in Tirupur and felt weak. He bought a Coke from a small shop, drank it and instantly felt better. That moment sparked
his lifelong bond with the brand. For him, seeing these items makes him feel satisfied, which he compares to visiting a temple.
Tamil Nadu Man Turns His Coca Cola Passion Into A Massive Collection
Sharing the video on Instagram, a content creator said, “Are there people like this? A room full of Coca-Cola memories, including a fan, a radio, a water bottle and a chair to sit in a room that is Coca Cola themed. This place has collections like Coca-Cola bottles from all over the world. Coke themed toys, limited edition Coca-Cola from the start till now. He has a museum for Coca-Cola itself.”
Speaking about his love for the brand, Mahadevan explained, “People call me toy lover, but I am a Coca Cola lover. When I was in Tirupur, I wasn’t able to have breakfast, I was hungry and had a headache, didn’t know what to do. I went to a small shop on the opposite side. I bought a Coke and drank it. I got a lot of energy. That’s when I started this Coca Cola collection. Wherever I go, my first purchase is Coca-Cola. This is a childish thing. There is god in this childish thing. No matter how far you go, when you reach a temple, you get satisfaction. I get that satisfaction when I see the items belonging to my collections.”
The content creator added, “Even though he has a lot of vintage collections in his museum, he has a lot of craze for Coke. What you see here are not just items, but memories of your grandparents. If you come to Karaikudi, definitely visit the Vintage Museum.”
Internet Praise His Dedication
Reacting to the post, social media users screamed Coca Cola’s tagline, “It’s The Real Thing.”
A user wrote, “Only in India can we find such LOVE & PASSION.”
