CSK Suffer Their 2nd Heaviest Defeat In IPL Against RCB

Chennai Super Kings faced Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their third match of IPL 2026 on Sunday, April 5, and suffered a defeat by 43 runs. In reply to RCB’s total of 250/3, CSK batters managed to score 207 runs for the loss of all 10 wickets in 19.4 overs. Sarfaraz Khan top-scored for the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side by playing a knock of 50 runs from 25 balls; Prashant Veer made 43 runs from 29 balls, and Jamie Overton scored 37 runs from 16 balls.

The defeat by 43 runs on Sunday is CSK‘s second-heaviest defeat against RCB in Indian Premier League history. Their heaviest defeat in the IPL against RCB is by 50 runs in Chennai on March 28, 2025.
