After a six-year hiatus from the runway, Masaba Gupta is set to return to Hyundai India Couture Week 2026 with a milestone moment for her label, House of Masaba’s first-ever bridal couture collection.
Known for redefining Indian fashion with bold prints, vibrant colours, and playful motifs rooted in nostalgia and pop culture, Masaba now brings her signature aesthetic to bridal wear. The collection marks a new creative chapter for the brand, reinterpreting traditional bridal dressing through a contemporary lens.
“I want the world to feel the India I grew up in, loud, lush, unapologetically itself. And the feeling of ‘Still I Rise’,” says Masaba Gupta, summing up the spirit behind the collection.
At its core, the showcase celebrates women as custodians
of culture while embracing individuality and self-expression. Rather than adhering to conventional bridal codes, the collection is designed for brides who are confident, fearless, and deeply connected to their roots.
The designs take viewers on a visual journey, from India’s sacred landscapes to the turquoise waters of Antigua and the vibrant Caribbean. As the narrative unfolds, traditional bridal ensembles seamlessly transition into resort bridal looks, reflecting celebrations that extend beyond the wedding ceremony.
The collection also represents the evolution of House of Masaba’s distinctive design language. The iconic motifs that once transformed contemporary Indian fashion now become part of a bridal wardrobe that blends heritage with modernity. Here, India is portrayed not merely as a destination but as an emotion, one that transcends borders through colour, craftsmanship, and storytelling.
Complementing the couture is jewellery by Indriya, the fine jewellery brand from the Aditya Birla Group, which joins the showcase as the official jewellery partner.
Speaking about the collaboration, Masaba says she was drawn to Indriya’s ability to balance tradition with contemporary design.
“I’ve seen some of the pieces, and they instantly felt like jewellery that belongs not only on the runway but also in our personal collections. They’re exquisitely crafted, rooted in storytelling, and proudly Indian, qualities that resonate deeply with House of Masaba. The trust associated with the Aditya Birla Group also makes it an ideal partner, especially in the bridal jewellery space,” she says.
Abhishek Rastogi, Head of Design at Indriya, adds that the jewellery curation celebrates the diversity of Indian craftsmanship while demonstrating how traditional artistry continues to inspire modern design.
With this debut bridal collection, House of Masaba expands beyond fashion into a larger narrative, one where heritage, identity, craftsmanship, and contemporary style come together to redefine the modern Indian bride.
