India’s only International Emmy® Award-winning series is back — darker, bolder, and more urgent than ever. Netflix India has officially announced that Delhi Crime Season 3 will premiere on November 13,
2025, bringing audiences its most intense and emotionally charged case yet.
A Crime That Shakes the Nation
This season takes the story beyond the capital — across borders, states, and social divides. The series follows DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, popularly known as Madam Sir (played by Shefali Shah), as she leads her team into a harrowing nationwide chase. The investigation begins when an abandoned baby is found, setting off a chain of events that exposes the dark underbelly of human trafficking — a crime that operates in plain sight yet thrives in silence.
On the other side of the law stands Badi Didi (Huma Qureshi) — a ruthless and calculating kingpin who builds her empire by selling the futures of young girls. The two women’s worlds collide in a story that explores power, morality, and the brutal cost of survival.
Shefali Shah Returns as ‘Madam Sir’
Reprising her career-defining role, Shefali Shah reflected on how personal this journey has become, “Returning as Madam Sir always feels deeply personal. Her significance, both to me and in today’s times, has only grown stronger in my eyes. Vartika is fighting an enemy that crosses borders and hides in society’s shadows. Human trafficking isn’t the act of a few; it’s a symptom of a society that looks away. But Vartika keeps fighting, even if it means saving just one life from this murky world.”
Huma Qureshi Joins as the Formidable ‘Badi Didi’
For Huma Qureshi, who joins the franchise as Meena — also known as Badi Didi — the role was as challenging as it was transformative, “Playing a negative role like Meena was powerful yet unsettling. She’s shaped by trauma yet wields immense control — both victim and perpetrator. That’s what drew me to Delhi Crime: its honesty. It never glorifies or sensationalises; it makes us confront uncomfortable truths.”
A Stellar Ensemble Cast
Alongside Shah and Qureshi, Delhi Crime Season 3 reunites familiar faces including Rasika Dugal (as Neeti Singh), Rajesh Tailang (as Bhupendra Singh), Jaya Bhattacharya (as Vimla Baradwaj), and Anuraag Arora (as Jairaj Singh). They are joined by Sayani Gupta, Mita Vasisht, Kelly Dorji, and Anshumaan Pushkar — rounding out a powerhouse ensemble for what promises to be the series’ most gripping chapter yet.
Behind the Vision
Directed once again by Tanuj Chopra, the third season continues Delhi Crime’s commitment to raw storytelling that blurs the line between duty and morality. The writing team — comprising Anu Singh Choudhary, Apoorva Bakshi, Michael Hogan, Mayank Tiwari, and Shubhra Swarup — crafts a narrative that exposes the emotional and ethical toll of law enforcement in a society grappling with systemic decay.
Produced by Golden Karavan and SK Global Entertainment, with executive producers including Shefali Shah and Tanuj Chopra themselves, the new season reaffirms the series’ global prestige and local resonance.
When and Where to Watch
Delhi Crime Season 3 premieres November 13, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. The streaming giant promises a story that goes beyond the crime — one that questions the conscience of an entire nation.
Two women. One case. And a chase that will test the limits of justice.
