Fans can’t keep calm as Argentine superstar footballer Lionel Messi begins his four-city GOAT India Tour 2025 on Saturday. The Barcelona legend’s touchdown time was 2:26 am, and fans were gathered on roads
in chilly weather to welcome him with chants, flags, and massive zeal.
Fans were sprinting between the gates for just a glimpse of their favourite star. A heavy convoy escorted Messi to his hotel, where another huge gathering of fans was waiting for him with banners. However, due to security reasons, Messi was taken to his hotel around 3:30 am through a back entrance.

Messi arrived in India with long-time strike partner Luis Suárez and Argentina teammate Rodrigo De Paul.
A fan from Meghalaya arrived in Kolkata to get a glimpse of Messi. She told ANI that she had saved money for this visit. “We are from Meghalaya. We are very excited. We are huge fans of Messi. We are very happy…,” she said.

Another fan said, “I am very excited. It is a dream come true, truly magical. If God wants, I will definitely be able to meet him.”
Another Messian said, “We are very excited. He’s a magician, the GOAT (greatest of all time)… We are here to catch just a glimpse of him… Love you, Messi.”
Over the next 72 hours, Messi will zip across Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi, meeting chief ministers, corporate leaders, and Bollywood celebrities. He will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
