First Look at Pattinson and Zendaya in The Drama
A24 recently dropped the first teaser for The Drama on X (formerly Twitter), announcing: “Every wedding has some. THE DRAMA, a new comedy from Kristoffer Borgli starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, opens in theaters April 3. Save the date.”
The teaser hints at a storyline where the engaged couple, Emma Harwood and Charlie Thompson, face serious doubts as a secret emerges during their wedding week. Adding to the promotional buzz, an ad appeared in The Boston Globe’s engagements section, playfully mirroring a real wedding announcement. It describes the couple’s background in detail: Emma Harwood is a 2013 graduate of Portside High School and a 2017 honours graduate of Boston University, now working at Mission Books. Charlie Thompson, a 2004 Eaton College graduate, holds a PhD in Art History from Tufts University and serves as the Director of the Cambridge Art Museum. The ad cleverly tied these details to the movie’s release date.
Upcoming Projects for the Stars
In addition to The Drama, Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are set to reunite in high-profile projects in 2026. Both will appear in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, with Zendaya as Greek goddess Athena and Pattinson as Ithacan suitor Antinous, releasing July 17, 2026. They are also attached to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three, where Zendaya reprises her role as Chani, and Pattinson is reportedly cast as the antagonist Scytale, with the film slated for December 18, 2026.
The Drama promises to be a darkly comedic exploration of love, secrets, and the chaos lurking behind the perfect wedding, marking another exciting chapter for its star-studded cast.
