Manchester United inched ahead of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday through Casemiro, who netted from the corner, which was a result of a controversial decision in the lead-up.
Nicolo Savona’s
attempt to keep the ball in play was ruled outside by the officials, offering up United a corner, which resulted in a goal.
United proceeded to capitalise on the subsequent set piece as they held on to the lead until the halftime break.
Morgan Gibbs-White equalised for the home side in the 48th minute, and just two minutes later, Nicolo Savona scored, completing a dramatic turnaround.
Amad Diallo salvaged a point for United with a well-taken volley in the 81st minute, showcasing the team’s recent improvement following a poor start to the season.
Forest, who appointed Sean Dyche as manager last month to replace the sacked Ange Postecoglou, remain in the relegation zone, four points behind 17th-placed Burnley.
Elsewhere, Arsenal added to their points tally for the season with their win at Turf Moor on Saturday in the English top-flight encounter between the sides.
Goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice helped the Gunners extend their lead at the top of the table to 25 points, while Burnley were pushed to 17th in the league.
The Gunners went ahead thanks to a Gyokeres strike from a corner routine nudged his way by Gabriel, before Rice turned in a well-executed counterattack in the 35th minute of the game.
