Karisma Kapoor was recently spotted at an event in Mumbai looking regal as ever in a mauve saree. Despite the personal issues she has been facing, the actor walked the green carpet for the Global Peace
Honours 2025, which honoured heroes, victims of terror attacks like the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and the survivors of the Pahalgam attack.
The mum-of-two showed fans why she was the reigning fashion and acting queen of the 90s with her ethereal looks. Karisma wore a mauve crushed silk saree that reflected the light just perfectly to look shimmery. The actor’s ethnic look acts as perfect inspiration for a winter wedding when needing warmth is important, but serving looks is a priority.
The actor wore a burnt orange blouse with a high, scooped neck that was more like a cropped top, featuring elbow-length sleeves that caught the eye. It was modest yet alluring. It added structure to the drape while elevating the entire look. In the era where micro saree blouses are the trend, Karisma’s slightly longer saree blouse was an ode to the era gone by.

She accessorised the look with Tribe by Amrapali gold jewellery: earrings with an intricate pattern, a delicate bracelet on her wrist and a few gold rings spotted on her fingers. She styled her hair in its usual look – pin straight yet shiny. She also lined her eyes with kohl, applied a blush shade on her lips and matched her blush to her saree – a warm tone of orange that adds glow. At the event, she carried a small gold potli bag so as not to take away from the ethnic look.
Karisma Kapoor’s legal battles for her kids’ inheritance
Karisma Kapoor has been battling her ex-husband, the late businessman Sunjay Kapur’s second wife, Priya Sachdev, over his inheritance of property worth Rs 30,000 crore. The actor, who married Sunjay in 2003 and got a divorce 11 years later, shares two kids with him: a daughter named Samaira and a son named Kiaan.
The legal battle ensued one month after Sunjay’s death in June. The businessman passed away after he had a heart attack due to accidentally swallowing a bee. Karisma’s kids claim that the will has been manipulated, as a lot of basic information, like the son’s name, the kids’ addresses, and even Sunjay’s pronouns, was wrong.
Even Sunjay’s sister Mandhira Kapur Smith, has supported Karisma’s claim during her appearance on Pooja Chaudhary’s podcast. She said, “If these people think we don’t know our own bloodline, think again. Just because you have been with someone for seven years, you cannot erase the normal habits that we have grown up with. My brother led the family legacy. He did not create it. And for her to walk around representing our family. Shame on her.”
