Mohun Bagan Super Giant have been drawn in the same group as Kolkata rivals East Bengal for the Super Cup 2025-26. The draw for the Super Cup was conducted virtually on Thursday by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), confirming the four groups of four teams each. Defending champion FC Goa, which beat Jamshedpur FC in last season’s final, has been placed alongside its rival once again in Group B, setting up another repeat clash of last year’s final.
Group A will see the iconic Kolkata Derby between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal set to light up the tournament. Real Kashmir and Chennaiyin FC are the other two sides. MBSG are likely to play their three group matches on October 25, 28 and 31, with the derby scheduled on the final day. This season,
Mohun Bagan and East Bengal have faced each other twice — in the Calcutta Football League Premier Division and the Durand Cup — with East Bengal winning both encounters.
Group B features FC Goa with Jamshedpur FC and alongside Durand Cup winners NorthEast United. I-League champions Inter Kashi are the other side. In Group C, Bengaluru FC, Punjab FC and Mohammedan SC are the ISL sides alongside I-League’s Gokulam Kerala.
