Moving into a rented flat instead of staying in a PG sounded like the perfect way to save money and build a healthier lifestyle for one woman. But instead of sticking to a routine, she says her daily life has become more chaotic than ever.
In a video shared on Instagram, Swati Singh opened up about how living independently has affected her sleep, meals and overall schedule. Her honest confession has struck a chord with many people facing similar struggles.
Her Plans Didn’t Work Out
The video begins with the text, “I shifted from a PG to a flat.” Swati explained that she had high hopes before making the move. She believed living in a flat would help her cut down on expenses, cook fresh meals every day and take better care of her health.
“I thought
that shifting from a PG to a flat would help me reduce my expenses. I would be able to take better care of my health, cook food every day and follow a proper routine,” she said.
Things, however, turned out very differently. “Instead, I am going to bed at 4 am and waking up at 6 am. I am not saving any money, and my eating schedule is completely messed up,” she added.
Swati also shared that even basic daily habits have become difficult to manage. “I am eating breakfast at night and skipping dinner altogether. At this point, I have no idea when the day begins or when the night ends,” she said.
Her light-hearted video highlighted how managing a home on your own can sometimes be harder than expected, especially while balancing work and other responsibilities.
Many People Felt The Same
The clip has received more than three million views, with several viewers saying they could relate to her experience after moving into independent accommodation.
One user wrote, “The same thing is happening to me too.” Another joked, “It seems like I’ll have to buy my own house before everything finally falls into place.”
A person commented, “I’m eating breakfast at night too. This is exactly true.” Another user simply wrote, “Yes, I agree with you.”
Many people said they had expected life to become more organised after moving out of a PG, only to realise that cooking, cleaning, shopping and managing a home often made it harder to maintain a proper routine.
