All-rounder Marizanne Kapp played an unbeaten knock of 81 runs from 45 balls on Sunday (June 21) to help South Africa chase down a target of 159 runs in 19.1 overs against India at Old Trafford in Manchester and register their second win of the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
The veteran all-rounder hammered seven fours and four sixes during her stay at the crease and stitched together a 97-run partnership from 63 balls for the third wicket with Tazmin Brits (40 off 36 balls) to seal the deal for South Africa after they had lost Laura Wolvaardt (20 off 21 balls) and Annerie Dercksen (0 off 2 balls) inside the powerplay.
