A video recorded inside the office chamber of C. Joseph Vijay at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat in Chennai has gone viral on social media, triggering discussion over security and recording protocols inside the Chief Minister’s Office.
The video was reportedly shot during an official meeting chaired by Vijay with representatives of the specially-abled community to discuss their issues. During the interaction, one of the attendees began recording a video on his phone, panning across the room and capturing Vijay along with other participants present at the meeting.

Vijay appeared unbothered by the recording and continued with the discussion as the video was being shot.
However, officials and visitors are generally prohibited from recording videos or taking photographs inside the Chief Minister’s Office without prior authorisation, raising questions over how the recording was allowed inside the high-security administrative space.
The footage was later uploaded on social media platforms, where it quickly gained traction. Several users expressed surprise over the apparent ease with which the meeting was recorded inside the high-security office.
User Vizhpuneet wrote, “Nobody saw this coming ☠️ A meeting with Tamil Nadu CM Vijay was fully captured on camera, and even the background conversation could clearly be heard in the video 😭.”
Another user, Amitabh Chaudhary, commented, “A Person is taking a selfie video while CM Joseph Vijay is conducting a meeting! Best of Luck to Tamil Nadu for this comedy show for next 5 Years.”
Meanwhile, some social media users defended the incident, calling it a sign of openness and transparency. User TubeLight wrote, “For the first time in history, a CMO meeting which used to be held secretly was livestreamed by this man.
