Aug 29 (PTI) Three persons entered a river in Jharkhand’s Palamu district on Saturday to record a video on their mobile phone but were swept away by its strong currents, with locals managing to rescue one while the others were still missing, police said.
The incident occurred near the Belaghati Bridge.
Chattarpur SDPO Prashant Kumar said, “Three persons entered the Batane river and were making a video on their mobile phones when two of them were swept away by its strong current. The local managed to rescue one, Rajendra Saw (40).
“He is undergoing treatment at a hospital, while the two missing persons were Ritik and Teny, all residents of Aurangabad district in Bihar,” the police officer said. PTI COR RPS RPS NSD
