Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on Monday, November 24, at his residence in Mumbai, leaving a void in the film industry. He was 89. Fondly remembered as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” the legendary
actor was laid to rest at the Pawan Hans crematorium in a solemn ceremony attended by close family. Later, several well-known personalities from the film fraternity visited his residence to pay their respects and offer heartfelt condolences to the Deol family during this difficult time.
In a video shared on Instagram, veteran actress Rekha was seen leaving the late actor’s residence. She was seen having a conversation with actor-producer Sanjay Khan and his son, actor Zayed Khan. Before walking to her car, she was seen giving everyone a warm, tight embrace. Following this, she bid them adieu.

The beloved Bollywood actor breathed his last just weeks after Zayed Khan lost his mother, Zarine Katrak. She passed away on November 7. She was 81 and had been battling age-related issues for some time. Her funeral was held in Mumbai, and her last rites were performed by Zayed as per Hindu traditions. The family hosted a prayer meet for Zarine Khan on November 10, where friends from the industry came to console the grieving family.

Besides Rekha and Sanjay Khan’s family, several other Bollywood celebrities arrived at the residence of the Deols after Dharmendra’s last rites. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Kajol, Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Raj Kundra, Farhan Akhtar, and Preity Zinta, among others, visited the late actor’s residence after the funeral. Several fans also gathered outside the Deol house to bid an emotional goodbye to the legendary actor.
Dharmendra Passed Away Just Days After Being Discharged From Hospital
Dharmendra breathed his last just days after being discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he had been admitted for a routine checkup. The actor had complained of breathlessness but was deemed stable enough to continue recovery at home. However, his condition deteriorated unexpectedly on Monday morning, leading to his demise.
He was scheduled to celebrate his 90th birthday on December 8, marking a major milestone in a life that has inspired generations of filmgoers and actors. Dharmendra’s final film, Ikkis, is set to release on December 25. The biographical war drama, directed by Sriram Raghavan, also stars Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaideep Ahlawat in lead roles.
