'I Left Her, Have No Regrets': Muzammil Ibrahim's Big Claim About Deepika Padukone Goes Viral

An old video of Muzammil Ibrahim from one of his interviews has resurfaced on social media in which he is seen claiming that he dated actress Deepika Padukone before she became a top Bollywood actress. Ibrahim, who was speaking to Siddharth Kannan in 2025, went on to claim that he ‘left’ Deepika but has no regrets about it.

“We dated for two years. I was the first guy she met in Bombay and vice versa. It was my first actual relationship. Deepika proposed to me first. We broke up because I left her, but I don’t regret it. I never regret leaving anyone. Plus, I was a star at that time; she was not. She was a model, but I had become an actor already,” he said.

Following this, Ibrahim was asked if he remained in touch with Deepika later. To this, the

Special Ops actor replied, “Before she got married, we would talk sometimes.” He shared that they became friendly after their breakup and would congratulate each other on their achievements. However, they lost touch after Deepika Padukone got married to Ranveer Singh.

Since the video has resurfaced on social media, Deepika Padukone’s fans are disappointed and have been accusing Muzammil Ibrahim of seeking publicity by using her name. Taking a dig at Ibrahim, one of the fans wrote, “Thanks for leaving her!!God blessed her with best!” “What’s there to talk about now😂? Now she is famous, happily married and soon to be the mother of two. I used to like him but after this interview lol no more,” added another.

Deepika Padukone married Ranveer Singh in November 2018. The two welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in September 2024. They are currently expecting their second child together.
