Archana Puran Singh captured a memorable milestone during her recent visit to Bengaluru, as her housekeeper Bhagyashree boarded an aircraft for the first time. The family shared the experience together, creating several moments that Archana later documented on social media.
The day began with an early departure, though their schedule shifted slightly when Bhagyashree, who had overslept, rushed in with an apology before the group set off. Despite the hurried start, the mood stayed upbeat as the family engaged in light teasing and casual conversations through the morning.
At the airport, the family paused for a quick meal, where a playful discussion unfolded — comparing Aaryamann Sethi to Kajol from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Shah Rukh Khan
to a slice of pizza. As they prepared to take their seats on the aircraft, Archana requested the passenger seated beside Bhagyashree to assist with her seat belt, only to hear Bhagyashree say, “I have already fastened it.”
Once in Bengaluru, Archana and her son Aaryamann pulled a brief prank, telling Bhagyashree that her luggage was missing. The concern on her face quickly turned to relief when she learned it was a joke. Archana then asked her about her first flying experience.
Bhagyashree recalled the tense take-off, saying, “When it took off, I was holding on the sides and people around me were looking at me. But I felt relaxed once we were in the air. Esa lag raha tha ki baadlon par chal rahe hai (It felt like we were walking in clouds).”
The family continued their journey in a luxury Mercedes to their hotel. During the drive, Aaryamann excitedly pointed out the car’s features, prompting Archana to remark, “You’re like a little kid in a candy store,” to which he replied, “Yes, I am.”
After checking in, Archana mentioned why her younger son Ayushmaan was missing from the trip. She shared, “We wanted him to be here, but it is good that he isn’t, because he has just got his first acting assignment. Which meant he stayed back for a good reason.”
Throughout the day, the group explored local cuisine, tasting dishes such as Mosaru Kodubale, Maddur Vada, and Avarebele Dosa as part of Archana’s continuing interest in regional food across India.
The family later wrapped up the day at their hotel after sampling the city’s flavours.
