Last month, Ajay Devgn announced his upcoming action film ‘Chauhaan’ on the birth anniversary of his father, legendary action director Veeru Devgan. The announcement teaser left fans excited and curious to know more about the upcoming action entertainer helmed by Neeraj Yadav. While Ajay Devgn’s role in the film has been confirmed, details about the rest of the cast have been kept under wraps. Now, according to a report by Bollywood Hungama, producer Aanand L Rai has reportedly roped in Vikrant Massey for a key role in the Ajay Devgn-led action thriller.
Vikrant Massey To Star In Ajay Devgn’s Chauhaan?
According to Bollywood Hungama, Vikrant will play a grey character in the film, and will be seen like never before in this movie. “Vikrant Massey will be seen like never before in this action
thriller inspired by true events. He plays a layered grey character, and his tashan with Ajay Devgn will be among the major highlights of Chauhaan,” a source told the entertainment portal.
The report further states that Vikrant Massey was impressed by the script of Chauhaan and immediately agreed to come on board for the layered role. “Ajay and Vikrant are like watching two powerhouses from different generations in the same film. The audiences are in for a treat,” said the source.
Chauhaan is expected to go on floors in the last quarter of 2026, with plans for a Gandhi Jayanti 2027 release. The film’s pre-production work is currently underway, and it is being touted as one of the major action entertainers to watch out for in 2027.
Chauhaan Teaser
The teaser of Chauhaan, which was unveiled in June, offers a glimpse of Ajay Devgn in a commanding avatar. He is seen sporting an all-black look while the iconic song ‘Jumma Chumma De De’ plays in the background. The teaser ends with the impactful dialogue, “Pathaanon se kehna, Chauhaan aa raha hai” (Tell the Pathaans, Chauhaan is coming), which has sparked excitement among fans and grabbed attention online.
Chauhaan is directed by Neeraj Yadav and jointly produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aanand L Rai, and Himanshu Sharma under the banners of Jio Studios and Colour Yellow Productions. The Ajay Devgn-led action drama is slated to hit theatres on October 1, 2027.
