Karan Wahi has opened up about his past relationship with Bigg Boss 20 contestant Uditi Singh, revealing that he entered the relationship with the intention of eventually getting married. The actor, however, said that as the relationship progressed, they realised they were not compatible enough to build a future together.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Karan also addressed speculation that the two had been on the verge of marriage before separating. He clarified that while marriage was the intention behind the relationship, there were never any concrete wedding plans.

Karan recalled being in his early 30s when he began dating Uditi and said he had reached a stage where he was no longer
interested in being in a relationship without thinking about its future.
“I was 33-34 when I started dating her. So, I was at an age where I was like this time when I get into a relationship, this has to materialise into marriage. Otherwise I don’t want a relationship,” he said.
That intention was also one of the reasons Karan chose not to keep the relationship private.
The couple spent considerably more time together during the lockdown and discussed what their future could look like. However, Karan stressed that conversations about a possible future should not be confused with an engagement or definite plans to marry.
“There was nothing called as that we were about to get married or we’ve plans of getting married. I think it was the intention to take it to marriage, which I think have been misconstrued as shaadi hone wali thi,” he clarified.

Addressing what eventually went wrong between them, Karan offered a straightforward explanation.
“I think we were not compatible enough. Atleast that’s my truth,” he said.
The actor also dismissed, from his perspective, speculation that interference or objections from their parents had caused the split.
Karan and Uditi have an age difference of around 10 years, something that has also been discussed since their relationship became public. However, he did not cite the age gap as the reason behind their separation.
Karan Reacts To Uditi Speaking About Him On Bigg Boss 20
Uditi’s comments about her past relationship with Karan on Bigg Boss 20 have once again brought their equation into the spotlight.
Karan, however, pointed out that viewers may not have seen everything she said about him because portions of her conversations were edited from the televised episodes.
“Unki kayi baatein edit ho gayi hain, kyunki unhone Live mein kuch aur bola tha. Achi baatein bhi boli thi. Jaise ki how I helped her when she has shifted to Bombay, in her career and all,” he said.
According to Karan, Uditi had also acknowledged the support he extended to her when she moved to Mumbai and was trying to establish her career.
Despite the renewed discussion around their breakup, Karan maintained that he does not hold any bitterness towards his former partner. While their relationship did not ultimately lead to the marriage he had once hoped for, he said he is happy for Uditi and has no grudges about how things eventually turned out.
