Mumbai, Jul 1 (PTI) Veteran banker Rahul Badhwar on Wednesday took charge as the senior country officer for India at JPMorganChase.
The Wall Street bank said Badhwar joins from rival HSBC, where he held a slew of roles over a three-decade stint.
At JP Morgan, he is tasked with driving and executing the firm’s growth strategy across the country, as per an official statement.
He will also help get the firm’s entire set of offerings to clients and stakeholders, oversee governance and controls, and support employees and communities.
Badhwar will be based in Mumbai and report to Asia Pacific chief executive Sjoerd Leenart, it said.
Having started his career with HSBC’s global markets vertical in the country’s financial capital, Badhwar has also worked
in Dubai, Hong Kong, and London.
Most recently, he was the global head of corporate sales, markets and securities services at HSBC, the statement said.
The American bank had first announced Badhwar’s name in March to replace Kaustubh Kulkarni who quit in September to join rival Citigroup. PTI AA HVA
