After playing a big role in India’s record-extending ninth Asia Cup title win last week, Abhishek Sharma has returned to India, and in various clips going viral on the internet, he can be seen enjoying wedding functions of his sister Komal Sharma. Abhishek’s elder sister is getting married this week, and in one of the clips going viral from her pre-wedding function, she can be seen shaking legs with his brother.
In the same video, Abhishek can also be seen dancing with his mentor and Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh.

Abhishek in the Asia Cup 2025
Abhishek played all seven matches of the Asia Cup 2025 for Team India and scored 314 runs. In the three Super 4s matches, he scored three fifties in a row. For his memorable show with the bat in the eight-team tournament, Abhishek won the Player of the Tournament award.
Abhishek creates history
The left-handed batter from Punjab, who made his T20I debut for Team India last year, entered his name in the history books on Wednesday by breaking the world record of highest-ever rating points in the ICC T20I batter’s ranking.
After his 61-run knock against Sri Lanka in Dubai on September 26, Abhishek touched rating points of 931, which is a new world record.
However, after managing to score only five runs in the final against Pakistan on September 28, he lost five rating points, but his tally of 926 rating points is also better than the previous record of 919 rating points by former England batter Dawid Malan.
When will Abhishek play next?
Abhishek is all set to be part of India’s T20I squad for the five-match series against Australia later this month, but it will be interesting to see if he is considered for the ODI squad as well. It was reported last month that the BCCI selectors are considering Abhishek for the 50-over matches as well.
In Australia, apart from playing five T20Is, Team India will play three ODIs. The first ODI is scheduled to take place at Optus Stadium in Perth on October 19, and the next two matches will be played at Adelaide Oval and Sydney Cricket Ground on October 23 and 25.
