As the year ends, the corporate culture hustle and bustle starts slowing down. After mid-December, the holiday season kicks in and employees either opt for work-from-home or use remaining annual leave. A Bengaluru-based Flipkart employee shared the joy of this time and described it as a “low-key winter break” at her company.
Simrann M. Bhambani, an assistant brand manager (marketing) at Flipkart, shared a reel on Instagram while she was at Bengaluru airport. Ahead of the holiday season, Bhambani said she was going home.
“I am at the Bangalore airport because I am going home. And the beauty of Flipkart is that during winters, we low-key have like a winter break where everyone starts going for work from home or starts utilising their annual leave
after the 20th,” she said in the reel.
The video went viral and received thousands of impressions. Netizens lauded the working culture. Check the video here.

Bhambani compared this break to the winter school holidays and said, “It reminds me of school and I am already feeling like I am a kid, and I have my winter break and I am going home,” she said.
She also added, “Obviously, we will be working. It’s not like we won’t be working, but again, the luxury of working from home,” she said.
“Can’t wait to be home,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
