Idrissa Touré secured Pisa a 1-0 victory over Cremonese on Friday, marking the club’s first Serie A win in over three decades.
Pisa returned to Serie A this season after a 34-year absence. The team’s last
top-flight win was in May 1991, when it defeated Bari 1-0.
Coming into the match, Pisa was one of three teams yet to record a win, and it dominated the first half. However, Cremonese created several chances in a busy second half before Touré scored the decisive goal from a Mattéo Tramini cross with 15 minutes remaining.
The goal was the first of the season for the German midfielder.
Pisa’s victory lifted them to 15th place, while Cremonese remained 10th, five points ahead.
