Nakuul Mehta is known for his acting skills, but fans also love seeing his personal side. Recently, the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2 actor shared a glimpse of his hobby by posting a picture of his morning breakfast.
He had prepared a simple dish of oats but gave it a fun, creative twist by naming it Oats La Vida Loca, inspired by the famous Ricky Martin song Livin’ La Vida Loca. Mehta even humorously compared his cooking skills to the late celebrity chef and author Anthony Bourdain.

Taking to his Instagram stories, the Ishqbaaaz actor shared a visually appealing photo of his breakfast. The dish wasn’t just plain oats, it was topped with chia seeds and also included fresh berries on side. While humorously calling it “Oats La Vida Loca,” the actor added, “Kabhi kabhi lagta hai apun hi Anthony Bourdain.”
Cooking During The Pandemic Helped Nakul Mehta Discover A New Hobby
In a previous interview with ETimes, Nakuul Mehta had spoken about his love for food, saying, “I love breakfast. It’s my favourite meal of the day. If you ask me to skip any meal of the day, I could possibly give it a thought, but breakfast is something I can never skip. I try to eat some raw or uncooked food as my first meal like pistachios, which contain six grams of plant protein per serving, which is almost equal to that of an egg.”
“I think all of us are aspiring to be fitter than we already are and if the pandemic hasn’t already told us that immunity is the key. I think I try to maintain a balance between three things one is to take care of my diet because 80% of your diet, what you eat and what you put inside and I also try to exercise outdoor at the park 4 times a week which is functional training, a little bit of cardio, running and then there is my spiritual practice which is you know is like the 3rd leg I have been practising Buddhism for many years now and I think when your heart, mind and body is fit is when you are truly liberated and agile,” the actor added.
Nakuul Mehta revealed that he started cooking during the pandemic when he had limited options and spent most of his time at home. According to him, it was the most positive experience and discovered a real enjoyment for preparing food. Over time, he learned to make a variety of dishes, including pasta, eggs, and different kinds of smoothies.
