Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri has carved a niche for herself by showcasing her versatility in films such as ‘Laila Majnu’, ‘Bulbbul’, ‘Animal’, and most recently in ‘Dhadak 2’. The actress’ popularity instantly skyrocketed in 2023 after she starred in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal with Ranbir Kapoor. Her fan following grew exponentially, and she was labelled the ‘national crush’ after the film. Now, in a recent interview, the actress opened up about how her life has changed after Animal. She said that she didn’t anticipate so much love since it was such a short role, but director Sandeep Reddy Vanga told her this film would prove to be a good one for her career. She said that it has been such a blessing, and because of Animal, people went and watched
her old films.
Triptii Dimri On How Animal Changed Her Life
In a conversation with Filmfare, Triptii Dimri said, “Life took a 360-degree turn after Animal. It has been a blessing, truly. The recognition I thought I would get during Laila Majnu actually came with Animal. I felt, since it was such a short role, mera kya hi hoga. But director Sandeep (Reddy Vanga) sir had confidence in me.”
She further recalled what Sandeep Reddy Vanga told her. “He told me this film would prove to be very good for me, and whatever he said is exactly what happened. It has been such a blessing, and I have received so much love. I am also glad that because of Animal, people went back and watched my earlier films, Bulbbul, Qala and Laila Majnu,” she said.
Triptii Dimri’s Upcoming Projects
While Animal marked Triptii’s first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, she will next be seen in his upcoming film ‘Spirit’ with Prabhas. The actress replaced Deepika Padukone after her exit from the film. In May, the director welcomed Triptii on board. Sharing the announcement poster, he wrote, “The female lead for my film is now official :-)”
Triptii also recently completed the shooting for the last schedule of Romeo in Spain. It marks Triptii’s first on-screen collaboration with Shahid. Backed by Sajid Nadiadwala, it also features Randeep Hooda, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, and Disha Patani in cameo appearances.
