RRB Group D Recruitment 2026: Apply For 22,195 Level-1 Vacancies Till March 2

Indian Railways has opened the online application window for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026, offering a major opportunity for candidates seeking government jobs. The registration process began on January 31 and will continue till March 2, 2026, up to 11.59 pm. The recruitment is being carried out under Centralised Employment Notice (CEN) No. 09/2025 by the Railway Recruitment Board.

Through this recruitment drive, the railways aim to fill 22,195 Level-1 vacancies across different railway zones and production units. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website, rrbapply.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria And Application Fee

To be eligible, candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as on January 1, 2026. Age relaxation will

be applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government norms.

In terms of educational qualification, applicants should have passed Class 10 from a recognised board. For certain technical or trade-specific posts, candidates holding ITI certificates may also be considered, depending on the post-wise eligibility criteria.

Candidates from the General, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Meanwhile, SC, ST, PwD candidates and all women applicants will have to pay a reduced fee of Rs 250.

Selection Process

The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates will first appear for a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Those who qualify will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by a medical examination. Only candidates who clear all stages will be considered for final appointment.

Salary

Those selected will be appointed under Level-1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission pay matrix, with an initial basic salary of Rs 18,000 per month. In addition to the basic pay, employees will also be entitled to allowances as per existing rules.
