Domkal Assembly Constituency is set to vote in Phase 1 of 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, with the Election Commission of India announcing the following candidates in the fray.

Domkal is one of the 294 constituencies in the West Bengal Assembly and falls under Murshidabad district of South East Bengal region. The seat is reserved for the General category with 3% of the population belonging to the Scheduled Caste community and 0.13% of the population belonging to the Scheduled Tribe community. The constituency has 2,71,064 voters, including 1,39,470 men and 1,31,591 women. The overall literacy rate of Domkal is 67.53% according to the Census of India 2011.
Voting in Domkal will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, as part of Phase 1 polling,
while counting is scheduled for Monday, May 4, 2026.
In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, the Trinamool Congress won 215 of the state’s 294 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party secured 77. In the same election, Mekliganj was won by Adhikary Paresh Chandra of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), who defeated Dadhiram Ray of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by a margin of 14,685 votes.
