Kailesh Kher has sold his 2,619 sq ft office space in Trade Centre, BKC, for Rs 10.75 crore. Property registration details accessed by CRE Matrix show that the singer had purchased the same office for Rs 10.50 crore in November last year. The latest transaction therefore puts the sale price Rs 25 lakh above what he had paid for it.
The sale was registered on September 9, 2026, with Lakewater Retail Private Limited purchasing the commercial unit from Kher, according to the registration documents.
Located on the seventh floor of Trade Centre, the office is opposite the MTNL Building in Bandra East’s BKC. The property has a carpet area of 2,619 sq ft and the deal also includes one car parking space.
The registered consideration for the transaction
stands at Rs 10.75 crore. The documents show that stamp duty of Rs 64.50 lakh was paid as part of the transaction.
While the headline difference between the purchase and sale prices is Rs 25 lakh, that figure should not be treated as Kher’s actual profit. Based on the transaction details, the property recorded an appreciation of around 2.4% over his purchase price. This calculation does not take into account expenses linked to the deal, including stamp duty, registration charges, taxes and other transaction-related costs.
Trade Centre, where Kher owned the office, is a 10-storey commercial building in BKC. Wadhwa Constructions had sold office spaces in the development more than a decade ago. The project received a partial Occupation Certificate (OC) in September 2008 for the third to tenth floors. The ground floor and part of the first floor received the certificate in October 2008.
Kailash Kher is one of India’s most distinctive voices, known for blending Sufi, folk and devotional music with mainstream cinema. He rose to fame with Allah Ke Bande and later delivered hits like Teri Deewani, Ya Rabba and songs from the Baahubali franchise.
