At least 15 American soldiers were wounded in a drone attack last night at the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, CBS News reported, citing two American sources. One of the sources said most of the soldiers were lightly wounded, and according to him, they have already returned to duty.
This came as the US Central Command reported that 373 American service members have been injured in the ongoing Iran operation. Of those, around 330 have resumed duty, while five are currently listed as seriously wounded.
Last month, at least 15 American service members were wounded after a wave of Iranian ballistic missiles struck King Abdulaziz Air Base in eastern Saudi Arabia. This strike on a key allied installation marks a dramatic shift in Tehran’s strategy,
moving beyond proxy skirmishes to a high-intensity, direct assault on US conventional forces stationed in the Gulf.

Despite more than 20,000 airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel targeting Iran’s military infrastructure, senior leadership and production facilities, WSJ reported that Tehran retains the capacity to strike sensitive American assets across the region. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has also claimed to have deployed newly developed air defence systems capable of targeting aircraft, drones and cruise missiles.
