Amaravati, Jun 19 (PTI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will release Rs 3,125.4 crore under the Annadata Sukhibhava-PM Kisan scheme here on Saturday, benefiting nearly 47 lakh farmers across the state.
The beneficiaries include 45,69,817 land-owning farmer families and 1,16,021 Recognition of Forest Rights (RoFR) farmer families cultivating land under the Forest Rights Act.
“Naidu will distribute Rs 3,125.4 crore under the Annadata Sukhibhava-PM Kisan scheme at Linganguntla village in Palnadu district tomorrow, extending financial assistance to nearly 47 lakh farmers across Andhra Pradesh,” a press release said on Friday.
The government said that during the previous year, a total of Rs 8,985.4 crore was disbursed under the scheme,
including Rs 6,560.1 crore contributed by the state government and Rs 2,425.2 crore by the Centre under the PM-Kisan programme.
Implemented as part of the NDA government’s Super Six promises, the scheme provides annual financial assistance of Rs 20,000 to every eligible farmer family.
Of this, the state government contributes Rs 14,000, while the Centre provides Rs 6,000 through PM-Kisan. The assistance is released in instalments by both governments.
As part of the first instalment for the current year, the state government will provide Rs 5,000 and the Centre Rs 2,000 under PM-Kisan, taking the total assistance credited to each eligible farmer’s account to Rs 7,000.
As per the schedule, Naidu will arrive at Linganguntla village at 12.15 pm and visit the village Anganwadi Centre at 12.30 pm to inspect its facilities.
The CM will interact with farmers from 12.50 pm to 1.20 pm and later meet party workers from 2.15 pm to 3.45 pm.
He will address a public meeting at the Praja Vedika venue at 3.50 pm before leaving Linganguntla at 6 pm and returning to the Camp Office at 6.20 pm, the press release added. PTI MS SSK
