In a tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership style, union home minister Amit Shah has asserted that the PM’s success lies in his singular focus on national interest, which he prioritises above personal ego and protocol. According to Shah, this approach is not governed by any set “science” but is a natural outcome of his commitment to the nation’s progress.
In an exclusive interview with Network18 Group Editor-in-Chief Rahul Joshi, Shah highlighted that PM Modi’s unique style is evident in his interactions with everyone, from the lowest-rung party worker to the most powerful world leaders. He described how the Prime Minister inspires and guides party cadres while maintaining a similar directness and clarity with global counterparts,
with the sole objective of advancing the nation.
This personal, yet pragmatic, approach, Shah noted, has been particularly effective in international relations. He pointed out that PM Modi has cultivated strong personal friendships with several world leaders, leveraging these relationships to achieve diplomatic breakthroughs that might not have been possible through conventional foreign policy.
In essence, Shah argued that PM Modi’s leadership is a masterclass in putting the country first. By setting aside his ego and cultivating trust with leaders on a human level, he has been able to make “extraordinary decisions” that have consistently served India’s best interests on the world stage.
