A while ago, Rajpal Yadav took to social media and shared a video addressing the ongoing controversy. He shared that the controversial segment during the award show was planned by him, Zakir, and Saurabh. Rajpal went on to call them his “younger brothers.” He said that they have always respected him, adding that Saurabh even asked everyone in the auditorium to stand up and applaud him. Rajpal further requested everyone on social media not to troll Saurabh or anyone. He can be heard saying, “Saurabh ka dil dukhana matlab mera dil dukhana hai.” He ended the video by saying, “I love Saurabh, I love Zakir, I love you all. I am here because of you guys. Thank you.”

Yadav’s video came soon after Salman Khan showed his support for him. Netizens were seen taking a dig and trolling him in the comments section. One user wrote, “Salman Khan watching you take Saurabh’s side.” Another user wrote, “Bhai Thora to wait Kar le Salman sir ne tmhare liye stand liya ..aur tumne video Bana di …sad.” One of the comments also read, “Kya bhai Salman ke Tweet ke Baad Lafda Shuru hone se Pehele Khatam Hogaya.”

Salman, in his long post, defended Rajpal and mentioned his decades-long contribution to cinema, calling out the attempt to reduce his career to a financial controversy. He wrote, “Rajpal bhai aap 30 yrs se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko repeat kiya hai baar baar kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho , kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega. Hakikat yeh hai.
