The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to officially shift its political machinery into high gear for the upcoming electoral battle in Uttar Pradesh. Following a series of foundational reviews, the party high command is rolling out an intensive phase of top-tier strategy sessions designed to tighten its organisational grip on the state.
As part of the roadmap, BJP’s National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh is scheduled to embark on a crucial two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh. During his visit, he will chair a series of high-level, closed-door meetings in Lucknow with top state leaders, core committee members, and regional heads.
According to party sources, the primary objective of these back-to-back reviews is to ensure absolute synergy
between the party organisation and the government machinery, right down to the grassroots level.
With central strategists camping in Lucknow anchored by newly appointed state in-charge Vinod Tawde, the immediate focus is on ironing out campaign coordination, sealing any organisational gaps, and finalising a fool-proof blueprint for the electoral battlefield.
Historically, a lack of smooth, frictionless communication between the party organisation and the Yogi Adityanath-led government has occasionally created hurdles in Uttar Pradesh. Bringing everyone seamlessly onto the same page remains a top priority for Santhosh during these deliberations.
The on-ground plan and micro-management will also be on the agenda. Having recently taken charge, Tawde has already emphasised the non-negotiable pillars of his playbook, which he says are aggressive grassroots mobilisation, strict organisational discipline and meticulous micro-booth management.
The upcoming deliberations will heavily focus on fine-tuning the party’s comprehensive poll strategy. Key items on the agenda for Santhosh include charting out robust campaign coordination, aligning government welfare achievements with direct public outreach, formulating precise counter-strategies against opposition narratives, and optimising cadre deployment.
Furthermore, the leadership is expected to evaluate regional weak spots and set strict performance targets for local functionaries.
Party insiders maintain that no stone is being left unturned in solidifying the command structure, noting that every regional unit will be held strictly accountable for its targeted performance. The central message from the office is unequivocal: early preparation, absolute unity, and flawless execution form the bedrock of the party’s upcoming campaign in the country’s politically crucial heartland.
Separate meetings with chief minister Yogi Adityanath, state chief Pankaj Choudhary and state general secretary (organisation) Dhrampal Singh are also on Santhosh’s agenda. The meetings are likely to review governance, evaluate the ground-level implementation of public welfare schemes, and cement an unshakeable alignment between the state administration and the party rank-and-file.
