of 293/9 in 50 overs, Afghanistan bowled Bangladesh out for 93 runs in 27.1 overs. Bilal Sami, in his second ODI for the Afghanistani team, picked up 5 wickets for 33 runs in 7.1 overs, and star spinner Rashid Khan finished with figures of 3 for 12 in six overs.
The win over Bangladesh in the third ODI helped the Afghanistani team become the first side in the world to win an ODI match by 200 or more runs in Abu Dhabi.
The previous record of the biggest win in a 50-over match played at Sheikh Zayed Stadium was in the name of South Africa. On October 4, 2024, South Africa defeated Ireland by 174 runs.

The five-wicket haul by Bilal Sami on Tuesday helped him become the second specialist pacer and overall ninth bowler from Afghanistan to take a fifer in ODIs. Before him, the only other specialist pacer to take a fifer in ODIs for Afghanistan was right-arm fast bowler Hamid Hassan.
