Rapper Lil Jon’s Son Nathan Smith Reported Missing In Georgia, Family Seeks Support

Rapper Lil Jon and his family are facing a worrying moment, as the musician’s 27-year-old son, Nathan Smith, has been reported missing in Georgia. The family is appealing for prayers and privacy while authorities work to locate him.

According to the Milton Police Department, Nathan, who performs under the name DJ Young Slade, “ran out of his house and has been missing since.” The department shared a missing person alert on Facebook on February 3, including two recent photos of Nathan.

A representative for Lil Jon issued a statement to Billboard, saying, “The family is asking for privacy at this time. We are also asking for continued prayers for Nathan to come home safe.”

Lil Jon shares Nathan with his estranged wife, Nicole Smith, from whom he separated in 2022 after nearly 18 years of marriage, according to People. Reflecting on the emotional toll of the separation, the rapper channeled his experiences into his 2024 album Total Meditation.

“I’ve always kind of meditated a little bit,” Lil Jon told XXL that year. “But when I turned 50, started going through a lot of things. Started going through a divorce, I’m separated now, and all the emotions from the divorce and all that process was really getting to me. So, I found I had to start to go within to calm myself.”

In addition to Nathan, Lil Jon is also a father to his 1-year-old daughter, Nahara, whom he welcomed in 2024 with his girlfriend, business owner Jamila Sozahdah.

Authorities continue to investigate Nathan’s whereabouts, and the family has urged the public to respect their privacy as they await news.
