(Bihar) Aug 28 (PTI) Three girls drowned while bathing in a river in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district on Friday, officials said.
The deceased have been identified as Karishma Kumari (18), her sister Chanda Kumari (16), and their eight-year-old cousin Abhilasha Kumari.
According to officials, the girls drowned after getting caught in the strong currents of the river while bathing at Margang Ghat.
Locals recovered two bodies, while a team of State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) fished out the body of another girl.
“The bodies have been sent for post-mortem,” Pirpainti Circle Officer Chandrashekhar Kumar said. PTI COR PKD NSD
