Nat Sciver-Brunt is leading England in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. In the summit clash taking place at Lord’s against arch-rivals Australia, the 33-year-old right-handed batter scored a brilliant half-century for the hosts. She needed 46 balls to reach the 50-run mark for the England team.

The half-century by Sciver-Brunt in the final is her ninth 50-plus score in the Women’s T20 World Cup, and she now tops the list of players with the most 50-plus scores in the tournament’s history.
The right-handed English player, who remained unbeaten on 58 runs from 53 balls against Australia at the Home of Cricket, has slammed nine half-centuries in 33 Women’s T20 World Cup matches.

In the list of players with the most 50-plus scores in the tournament’s history, she is followed by New Zealand’s Suzie Bates and Australia’s Beth Mooney. Both Bates and Mooney have scored eight half-centuries each so far in the women’s shortest-format mega event.
The half-century by Nat Sciver-Brunt also helped her join Stafanie Taylor and Meg Lanning in an elite list of captains. The English superstar is only the third captain in Women’s T20 World Cup history to score a half-century in the final.

Had she managed to score two more runs, she would have broken Stafanie Taylor’s record for the highest individual score by a captain in a Women’s T20 World Cup final.
The former West Indies skipper had scored 59 runs against Australia in the final of the 2016 Women’s T20 World Cup at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
In the 2026 edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup, Nat Sciver-Brunt has played only four matches for the England team, and in those four matches she has registered scores of 46 not out, 48, 75, and 58 not out.
