US President Donald Trump’s son Barron Trump is leading a “reclusive” life after three assassination attempts on his father over the past two years, coupled with Iranian threats against him, according to a report by The New York Post.
Barron Trump, 20, has been living a low-key life as he concludes his sophomore year at New York University. He spent much of his summer this year with his mother and First Lady Melania Trump at the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey, the report said.
“He doesn’t go out”, a source close to Trump told The New York Post.
“The kid’s pretty reclusive”, another source said.
A third source told the publication that he avoids being seen in public. “You don’t see him hanging around”.
Affected By Kirk’s Assassination
According to the report, Barron
Trump was close to conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in September 2025 during a rally at Utah University.
Following Kirk’s killing, Barron had called his father, Donald Trump, to break the news to him sand said: “This is what happens when you go out there”.
Melania’s office told The New York Post that “in light of recent threats…any details concerning his [Barron’s] private life be excluded from all coverage.”
Iran’s Threats Against Barron
Amid the US-Israel war on Iran, Tehran this week issued an unusual threat to Donald Trump’s family, with the country’s state television broadcasting a segment listing ways to reach Barron and announcing USD 10 million reward.
In the video released by IRGC-affiliated media that was shared by Channel 3 of Iranian state television, Barron’s movements were described and visually depicted. The segment was titled “Where to kill Barron Trump”.
In the clip, it was claimed that the 20-year-old was “fully monitored” and that a girl had surpassed the Secret Service before sitting next to the US President’s son in a private meeting.
