Govinda may be away from movie sets, but he clearly hasn’t stepped away from the spotlight. The actor surprised students and parents alike by turning up at not one, but two school annual day functions
in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh, where he danced, sang and interacted with the crowd. Videos from the events surfaced online on Saturday and quickly grabbed attention.
During the daytime programme, Govinda attended the annual function at Sangamm International School. Dressed in a black-and-white outfit, he walked up to the stage after being encouraged by the audience and delivered an impromptu dance performance to his popular track Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha. He also sang Angna Mein Baba and recited some of his well-known dialogues from hit films, much to the delight of those present.

Later in the evening, the actor appeared at another school event, this time dressed in a white suit. Once again, he danced and sang on stage and also lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the occasion.

Away from the cheerful performances, Govinda has also been making headlines for personal reasons. In recent weeks, rumours of infidelity and trouble in his marriage with Sunita Ahuja have been circulating.
Addressing the speculation, Govinda told ANI, “This wealth and fame don’t spare anyone, and conspiracies like these don’t happen with everyone. I know a very well-known actor who was the victim of it, and now it’s me, though I am not as big as he is. I pray to god that he saves me from this problem, and I also pray for the welfare of my children. There has been a lot of struggle.”
Calling himself a spiritual person, he added, “I am a simple man with the blessing of my mother.”
The Raja Babu actor explained that he decided to speak out now because remaining silent was working against him. “What I’ve been observing lately is that sometimes when we don’t speak, we either appear weak or it seems like we are simply the problem. So, today, I’m responding. I was told that the people in my family might be unknowingly involved, and they won’t realise that they are being used in the initial stages of a big conspiracy.”
He further said, “First, the family gets affected, and then it circulates in society. I’ve been disconnected from work for so many years; there’s no market for my films, and please don’t mistake this as me complaining or crying. I’ve rejected many films myself, so I don’t cry about it.”
