Police stated that, as of 11 am on Friday, the family had not yet filed a formal complaint, although they had indicated that one may be submitted later.
Police said investigations are underway and all possible angles are being examined.
Sayani was an alumna of Bagati College and had recently completed her LLB degree.
However, she was widely recognised online for her content creation work. Her videos frequently featured moments from rural Bengal, including clips of her spending time with her pet cows, Sundari and Pari. Her simple lifestyle, emotional storytelling, cheerful personality, and affection for animals had helped her build a loyal audience on social media platforms.
Many followers have since expressed grief and disbelief following news of her death.
According to family members and police sources, Sayani was reportedly in a romantic relationship with a young man. Investigators suspect personal issues linked to that relationship may have contributed to her decision to take the extreme step, though officials said no conclusion has been reached yet.
Police stated that further investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
